I reached one of my dreams; learn Chinese Language in China, when I took UBAYA INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP to Guangxi University ndash; Nanning, China. It is an honor being university ambassador in the other country. I got a lot of knowledge and experiences by taking this opportunity.
I started my study there on September 10th 2009. It was very difficult time because I did not have experience learned Chinese Language before. My Lecturer said, “Chinese is the most difficult language in the world, and the second is Arabian Language”. So, she wants her students use it everyday even in daily activities. As time goes by, I could adapt with these kind of situation. My classmates also helped me to learn it. I was very lucky joined in this class. Most of all student is scholarship student which given by Chinese Government Scholarship. In my class, there are 21 students from 10 nationalities: Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, Malawi (West Africa), Sierra Lion (Africa), and Korea. I really love with this kind of diversity. I learned a lot from them.
On December 20th, 2009, Guangxi University held the International Students Chinese Character Writing Competition. There were hundred of students joined the competition and I was one of it. The competition was we have to write more than 300 Chinese Characters, copy from article that already prepared from the university. The criteria of the competition were writing beautifully and there are no mistakes. And thank God I am the 2nd winner of the competition. I could make my family, my country, my university and myself proud. I also had experience worked as translator in the 6th China ndash; ASEAN Expo in Nanning on the last day.
I hope my experiences could inspire the other student to take UBAYA INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP wherever they will study. I believe they will get wonderful learning experience and to give support to Faculty of Business and Economics and also University of Surabaya to be World Class Business School.
