Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru Program Master Farmasi Industri

Master of Industrial Pharmacy

Developed in collaboration between the University of Surabaya and the University of Groningen, The Netherlands

Introduction

Master of Industrial Pharmacy of The University of Surabaya is an International Postgraduate Program developed in response to the need for expertise in pharmaceutical industry, research and regulatory affairs. Considering about 90% prescription in Europe as well as in the U.S. are generics and currently none of the Pharmaceutical Industries in Indonesia as well as South-East Asia have developed new chemical entities (NCE), we therefore develop this Master program with the aim to prepare graduates to work in the development and production of dosage forms and able to carry responsibility for the quality of the products in a challenging pharmaceutical industry.

The program developed in collaboration between the University of Surabaya (Ubaya), Surabaya, Indonesia and the University of Groningen, Groningen, The Netherlands. It is also developed in partnership within the Pharmaceutical Industries, The National Agency of Drug and Food Control, and The Department of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.

Traditionally, there is a very strong focus on the ‘hard’ skills of students and less on interpersonal skills. Specifically, industry regards the well-developed interpersonal capabilities as something extremely important. This program actively tries to pay more attention to these skills with the method of education that enables students developing their interpersonal skills.

Vision

To be the first graduate school in Industrial Pharmacy in heart and mind

Mission

  1. To Provide advanced knowledge and skills in the field of Industrial Pharmacy

  2. To produce graduates who are able to integrate and develop knowledge and skills in the development and production of drug products

  3. To produce graduates who are able to carry responsibility for the quality of the (intermediate) products

  4. To produce graduates who are able to interpret and presenting data obtained from experimental work

  5. To strengthen national and international cooperation related to research and technology, drug product development and innovation.

Delivery methods

Master of Industrial Pharmacy of The University of Surabaya delivers hard skill and interpersonal skill in balance. The well-developed interpersonal capabilities are regarded extremely important besides knowledge, therefore we use mode of delivery such as class lecture, individual and group problem-based learning, class and group discussion, presentation, and final project/thesis/internship.
