The Department of Management, Faculty of Economics Universitas Surabaya (UBAYA) is pleased to announce the 7th annual symposium which will be held on March 20th , 2010.
The main theme is “WINNING NEW CUSTOMERS THROUGH VALUE AND NETWORKING”.

The purpose of the symposium is to discuss the importance of winning customers’ heart and mind in today’s competitive environment. It will also examine strategies and tactics to build customers’ loyalty so that our existing customers can be our marketers as well. Highly knowledgeable and experienced academics and practitioners are expected to participate and share their ideas and views in this forum.
We invite researchers, governmental, professionals, students, academics and consultants with interests in marketing and related fields to submit their papers.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:


  1. Research or conceptual review papers.
  2. Empirical papers should follow this format : (1) Title, (2) Author, (3) Abstract, (4) Research Background, (5) Literature Review , (6) Research Methods, (7) Result & Discussion, (8) Conclusion, (9) References.
  3. Conceptual review papers should follow this format : (1) Title, (2) Author, (3) Abstract, (4) Research Background, (5) Literature Review, (6) Discussion, (7) Conclusion, (8) References
  4. Suggested topics include : Marketing Social Networking;Business to Business Marketing; Selling and Sales Management; Retailing; Innovation and Creativity Marketing; Marketing Value Creation; Global Marketing; Entrepreneurship and Small Business; Social Responsibility Marketing; Customer Lifetime Value; and Multi-disciplined Issues Related to Customers.
  5. Only original manuscripts not previously published or presented at another conference/forum should be submitted.
  6. Abstract should contain less than 500 words (please use wordcount function to calculate your words). Abstract is containing main issue(s) of research, research objective(s), research questions, data, method of analysis (simple explanation) if any, and result(s). Note: The same template also applies for Bahasa Indonesia research paper. Keywords are separated by comma and contain max 5 keywords.. Due date for abstract submission: October 30th, 2009. Assessment and notification of the results: November 30th, 2009
  7. Final paper submissions should not exceed 7000 words. Due date for final paper submission: January 30th, 2010.  Papers submitted after the due date will not be included in the proceedings.
  8. Once the paper is accepted, at least one of authors must register for and present the paper at the symposium.  All authors must attach their curriculum vitaes.
  9. Publication Plan :
    Final copies of accepted papers will be professionally published in MABIS Journal with an ISBN. (Acre.). For this symposium, all the authors will receive electronic form (CD-ROM) only.
  10. Paper should be written in English or Indonesian.
  11. Submission of paper and abstract should be in softcopy (MSWord document)
